Warner Sets Passing Record Against Former Team
By James T. Ingram
St. Louis just loves Kurt Warner, even if he has beaten his old St. Louis Rams team twice this season. However that doesn’t make it hurt any less.
But that’s what happens when you have Steven Jackson out of the lineup with back problems, a rookie QB, Keith Null versus a healthy Warner and his arsenal of offensive assassins in the person of WR’s Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin.
The result: a 31-10 beatdown of the Rams, who now find themselves at 1-14 on the season with only the NFL draft to look forward to.
Warner threw his 100th TD pass as an Arizona Cardinal, while Rams rookie WR Brandon Gibson scored his first NFL TD.
So it’s official. The “Greatest Show on Turf” has relocated to the state of Arizona.
Next up, the Rams vs Texans and the Rams will close out the season hosting the 49ers at the Edward Jones Dome.
