STILL WINLESS
Rams Continue to Struggle at Midseason
By James T. Ingram for OhhMyOnline.net
At midseason the Rams struggles continue, and that’s an understatement.
Coming off their bye week the Rams have dropped two contests on the road; the first , a 24-3 loss to the Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers in which RB Steven Jackson ran for 96 yards and QB Sam Bradford was 28 of 44 for 321 yards.
Unfortunately, Bradford suffered a high ankle sprain as result and his return status is week-to-week.
Hoping to revive their receiving game, the Rams acquired veteran WR Brandon Lloyd from the Denver Broncos in time for their game against the Dallas Cowboys.
But, without Bradford the passing game faltered against the Cowboys and the Rams were handed an uneven 34-7 defeat as rookie DeMarco Murray ran wild, beginning with a 91-yard TD run on his first carry.
Murray went on gain 253 yards overall, setting a franchise record for the Dallas and concurrently recording the longest run ever against the Rams.
Steven Jackson ran for 70 yards, with 46 of those coming on the Rams only TD drive.
Now, the Rams return to the Edward Jones Dome, with an 0-6 record, to face the New Orleans Saints. Bradford is, again, doubtful for this game as are the Rams prospects unless something drastic changes on both sides of the ball.
