Saints Overwhelm Rams 31-13

Rams vs Saints
By James T. Ingram for OhhMyOnline.net

The Rams went into the New Orleans Superdome with aspirations of winning their third straight road game before returning to the welcoming confines of the Edward Jones Dome.

However, after two first quarter TD’s from Saints QB Drew Brees to WR Marques Colston, the New Orleans Saints kept the Rams in their rear view mirror for the remaining three quarters.

Rams QB Sam Bradford threw for 231 yards on 18 completions, but was sacked three times and threw two key interceptions (both to Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins) in the red zone.

That, pretty much, was the end of the Rams on Sunday.

On a brighter note, Rams RB Steven Jackson rushed for 134 yards bringing him over the 1,000 yard mark for the sixth consecutive season and the Rams, despite their loss remain tied for first in their division, with two division rivals left before the season ends, keeping their hopes of a post-season playoff berth alive.

Next up, the Kansas City Chiefs at the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday.
